Announcing events

On this page you will find information about online meetings organized by the Circle, as well as exhibitions, fears or auctions.

Online meetings are reserved only for members of the Circle. They will receive by email an invitation with all the details included: Program - Duration - Connection link

If a member of the Circle wishes to propose a specific topic for a further meeting, inform his colleagues of an exhibition or an auction not listed, he can leave a message at the bottom of this page.




On-line meetings
 
1- A third online meeting will be held on May 22, 2025. On the agenda:
  • A presentation on "Stamps and Corporate Marks in the Postal System of the Russian Empire" (Presentation: Gilbert M. Rios) followed by an open discussion.
  • A presentation of the "Russian Philately Study Circle" (RPSC)

2 - RPSC will organize its 4th zoom meeting on January 18th at 6:PM (Paris time) . On the agenda:

  • A presentation on "Imperial Russian Stampless Mail 1683-1875 : An Introduction to the Field" (Presentation: Maxime Citerne , BPP-Bund Philatelistischer Pröferasse E.V.) followed by an open discussion.
  • Miscellaneous
PROGRAM CHANGE  - Due to the unavailability of the invited speaker for health troubles, a last-minute change to the program has occurred. Two topics were addressed during the meeting :
  • About the letters from Zemstvos which did not issue stamps : G.M.Rios
  •  Presentation of an expert analysis of a forged zemstvo letter : B.Furnon, International exper
The presentation of Maxime Citerne will follow in a future meeting.


Exhibitions

1- Participate to SBERATEL , the largest collector Home Fair in Central and Eastern Europe from September 5 to 6, 2025. For more information : https://www.sberatel.info/en/fair-collector/
 




Auctions

1- From June 16 to June 27, 2025 different Oldlouis auctions involving many interesting lots of Russian Empire, Wenden, Zemstvos, Russian offices abroad, Russian Civil War... 


2- The Big Autumn Auction is next week - it is time to place your bids! The auction consists of 11 trading sessions (days) and 6,100 lots starting at $1. Only rare stamps and postal history items of Russia, Ukraine, and other countries. The auction includes many unique collections.

The final live bidding for each session will take place from September 29 to October 10 at 12:00 PM EDT (06:00 PM CEST) exclusively on the new site:

3-At the end of December Oldlouis organizes a big auction with several trading sessions (days) and more than 7,000 lots starting at $1. There will be several sessions dealing with Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia... between  December 21 and 27.
